AN elderly woman who sustained serious injuries after her car was in collision with a tractor near Newquay has died.
The local woman in her eighties was airlifted to hospital following the accident, which involved her red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB Fastrac tractor on the A392 at White Acres on Wednesday, November 26 at about 9.50am. She was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment but passed away the following day.

A police spokesperson said: “We have been informed that a woman who sustained serious injuries in a road traffic collision near Newquay this week has died.
“We are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward following the collision on the A392 at White Acres.
“The emergency services were called at around 9.50am on Wednesday, November 26 following a report of the collision involving a red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB tractor.
“As a result of the collision, a local woman in her eighties was airlifted to Derriford Hospital having suffered serious injuries. We were informed that she died on Thursday.
“The road was reopened by 2.15pm on Wednesday after collision investigators examined the scene and the vehicle was recovered. “
