THE community is invited to have a jolly good sing song in Newquay town centre to get into the festive spirit.

Carols on the Plaza is being held at the Plaza opposite the Lighthouse Cinema on Monday, December 22 at 6pm.

The festive event is being held in association with Newquay Brass Band, Crantock Street Community Garden, The Salvation Army and Govenek Age UK.

A spokesperson said: “Join us for a jolly sing along and celebrate community spirit and the true meaning of our Christmas together. “We're expecting a visit from Santa and his elves.

“The Christmas carols will be followed by mince pies and hot chocolate back at the Salvation Army Hall.”
