AN elderly woman was airlifted to hospital after her car was in collision with a tractor near Newquay on Wednesday morning (November 26).
The local woman in her 80s suffered serious injuries in the accident, which involved her red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB tractor on the A392 at White Acres at about 9.50am.

She was taken to Derriford Hospital and the road was reopened at 2.15pm after collision investigators examined the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a road traffic collision on the A392 at White Acres near Newquay.
“The emergency services were called at around 9.50am on Wednesday 26 November following a report of the collision involving a red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB tractor.
“As a result of the collision, a local woman in her eighties was airlifted to Derriford Hospital having suffered serious injuries.
“The road was reopened by 2.15pm after collision investigators examined the scene and the vehicle was recovered.”
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident, or anybody with relevant dash-cam footage to get in touch via 101 or the police website quoting reference 50250303279.
