DANCE music lovers are invited to step back into one of the most iconic eras in club culture at a Newquay beach next summer.

BBC Radio 2 Dance presenter Vernon Kay will be headlining a special Sounds of the 90s Sundowner Session at Lusty Glaze Beach on Friday, June 26.

Lusty Glaze owner Tracey Griffiths said: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Vernon Kay to Lusty Glaze for a night dedicated to the music that defined a generation.

“The 90s was such a formative era for dance culture, and bringing those sounds to our beach in this way is going to create a truly unforgettable atmosphere.”

“Whether you lived the 90s club scene first-hand or are discovering its legacy for the first time, this will be a joyful, high-energy celebration not to be missed.”

A spokesperson for Lusty Glaze added: “Celebrating the decade that shaped modern dance music, this high-energy beach party will bring the biggest anthems, hands-in-the-air moments and pure nostalgia to the sands of Lusty Glaze, set against the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.

“As the voice behind BBC Radio 2 Dance’s Sounds of the 90s, Vernon Kay has become synonymous with celebrating the golden age of clubbing, from euphoric house and classic trance to rave-inspired dance floor anthems that continue to resonate decades later.

“This special Lusty Glaze performance will see Vernon Kay take the decks for an open-air celebration of the era that built the dance floor for a generation. Guests can expect uplifting classics, feel-good energy and an immersive party atmosphere as the sun sets.

“The event will run from 6pm to 11pm, featuring incredible support DJs warming up the sands and keeping the energy high throughout the evening. Part of Lusty Glaze’s much-loved programme of live music and DJ events, this night promises nostalgia, unity and an unmissable soundtrack of dance floor history.”
