POLICE officers are appealing for witnesses and relevant footage following a fatal collision in Falmouth.

At around 7.10pm on Wednesday, January 28, emergency services attended a report of a road traffic collision on Mayfield Road involving a cyclist and a Honda motor scooter. The cyclist was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Officers were notified earlier this week that the cyclist – a local man in his 70s - had passed away in hospital. His next of kin has been informed.

Anybody who witnessed the incident, or who has relevant footage but has not yet spoken to police, is asked to call 101 or visit the Devon and Cornwall Police website quoting log 644 of January 28.
