PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
Alcohol licence applications
LOOE: A CAFÉ in Looe has submitted an application for an alcohol licence.
Rebecca Lillie has given notice that she has applied to Cornwall Council for the grant of a premises licence.
The application concerns Rosslyn Café, which is located in Lansallos, Looe, PL13 2PX.
If granted, it would permit the sale of alcohol on or off the premises.
The standard hours of the licensed activities would be on Wednesdays to Fridays between 10am and 4pm, and between 10am and 5pm on Saturday to Sunday.
However, there would also be a seasonal variation.
In the application, the venue is seeking additional hours in July and August.
It would permit it to sell alcohol between 10am and 8pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and between 10am and 9pm on Fridays to Sundays in July.
In August, it would permit it to sell alcohol between 10am and 9pm.

TRURO: Susan Aldemir has submitted an application seeking permission to sell alcohol from her premises in Truro.
The trading address of the venue subject to this application is 6 River Street, Truro, TR1 2SQ.
The deadline to make representations is March 25, 2026.
It states: “I Susan Aldemir give notice that I have applied to Cornwall Council as Licensing Authority for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of 6 River Street, Truro TR1 2SQ
The application is to: supply alcohol between the hours of 09.00 and 22.30 7 days per week at the above address
A responsible authority or other person wishing to make representations to this application may do so by writing to the Licensing Team, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, Truro TR1 3AY or email [email protected] not later than March 25, 2026.”
