LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photograph shows a historic image of mining in West Cornwall.

Barrie says of this photograph: “A view of Tuckingmill Valley in West Cornwall showing some of the vast mining areas in 1895. The Monument & Castle on Carn Brea can be seen in the top of the photo on the right.”
