LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photograph shows a historic image of popular tourist hotspot Polzeath.

Barrie says of this photograph: “Here is a photo of Polzeath back in the early 1900's, could be even earlier. Hardly any houses on the hill up to St Moritz & Daymer Bay. Not a vehicle in sight anywhere. Peace, perfect peace.”
