A MOTORCYCLIST has been airlifted to hospital following a collision with a car in Bugle earlier today (Friday, August 29).

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Fore Street at 7.45am following the two-vehicle collision which has left the male rider with serious injuries.

Fore Street remains closed in both directions due to the accident between Red Lane and Roche Road while the emergency services are still attending the scene. Motorists have been warned to seek alternative routes.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the A391 at Bugle.

“Officers were called by ambulance at 7.45am today, 29 August, following the collision between a motorcycle and a car. The air ambulance is also on scene. The male motorcyclist has been seriously injured.

“The A391 is blocked and the road is expected to be closed for some time. Motorists are advised to find an alternative route for the time being.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police online or by telephone on 101, quoting log 226 of August 29.”
