A MOTORCYCLE rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a van and a motorcycle in Pool yesterday (Sunday, June 28).

Officers were called at around 9.55pm following a report of the collision involving a Mercedes Sprinter Grey Panel Amazon delivery van and a Honda NSC blue pizza delivery motorcycle, on an access lane that runs between Station Road and Dudnance Lane.

The road remained closed while collision investigations took place and the rider’s next of kin have been informed.

Devon and Cornwall Police has appealed for witnesses and footage. Anybody who witnessed or captured the incident who has not yet made contact is asked to call 101 or visit the force website quoting log 954 of June 28.
