VOLUNTEERS are gearing up to raise money for Newquay RNLI over the festive season.

A coffee morning will be held at the Kilbirnie Hotel on Saturday, November 22 between 10am and 12pm.

The £3.50 entry includes a coffee or tea, biscuit and a piece of homemade cake. There will also be a raffle, tombola and open the box Jigsaws, books and bric-a-brac RNLI cards and gifts available. Stargazy, a new a cappella group, will be performing at the event.

A Christmas concert will be held at the Atlantic Hotel on Thursday, December 11 at 7.30pm.

There will be a performance by Cornwall Choir Collective and the Velvets, an accomplished close harmony trio. The bar service will include tea, coffee and mulled wine. Entry is £5.
