TEAMS are limbering up to take part in a popular obstacle course race in St Columb Major to raise funds for good causes.
The WAX Burner event will be held at the Trewan Hall estate on Saturday, April 11.

The event will showcase muddy, fun-filled 5K and 10K challenges and for the first time children as young as 10 years old can take part.
Children aged 10 and over will be able to enter the 5K route, with adapted versions of some of the burner’s larger obstacles created specifically for younger participants.
Jordan Hammond at WAX, said “Last year we had loads of children turn up just to watch. They were throwing paint, shouting at the adults and generally having a great time on the sidelines.
“It was pretty obvious they wanted to have a go themselves, so it felt right to open it up and let them take part this year.
“We are not just chucking them onto the adult course. We will have versions of some of the bigger obstacles that are still a proper challenge but done in a way that is safe and fun. It is the kind of thing they’ll go back to school bragging about.
“The event encourages people to take part together, whether that is as a group of friends, a family, a sports club or team building exercise.
“Participants are welcome to walk, jog or run the course, and helping each other over obstacles is a big part of the experience.”
