A SERIES of stellar events is being staged in Newquay to showcase the country’s outdoor and lifestyle communities blend of culture, creativity, business and board sports.

A new one-day marketing and business growth event titled Out of Office Conference will be held at Wax Gym in Yeoman’s Way on Friday, July 24.

The event, which is designed for ambitious marketers, founders and business leaders, brings together industry experts, growth-focused brands and strategic thinkers for a day of practical insight, networking and fresh thinking.

Talks are lined-up from some of the biggest brand and marketing professionals in the country including Rich Sutcliffe, founder of Passenger, Lisa Douglas, community marketing and impact manager from Patagonia, Luke Mackley and Tyler Whitworth, content creators and social media managers, Martyn Odell, aka LogomChef and Michael Corcoran, who is behind Ryanair's social media accounts.

The Wavelength UK Surfer Awards will also be held at the Expo Hall on July 24, which is an annual celebration of the surfers, creatives, brands, eco-champions and more who make up the driving force of the surf scene.

Hosted by Wavelength's print editor Bella Bunce, the awards will also announce the winner of the Newquay Boardriders' Expression Session, which took place earlier in the year.

The inaugural European Surf Film Festival will be held in the Expo Hall on Saturday, July 25.

The event will showcase some of the finest surf films from across Europe and beyond, which will feature features films from Dylan Graves, director Morgan Maassen, Tim Latte, Freddie Meadows and director Peter Hambling.

Seven times national surfing champion Lucy Campbell and renowned photographer Luke Gartside are set to host the event.

The UK Surf & Skate Expo will be held at the Expo Hall, Expo Village, Concrete Waves and Great Western Beach between July 24 and 26.

The country's leading gathering of surf and skate culture will welcome brands, athletes, shapers, retailers, artists and all outdoor enthusiasts for a celebration of everything board sports.

There’s also a vintage board invitational hosted by Saltrock, the XTRATUF Tales From the Frontier Stage, the YETI main stage, Rising Tide Festival, an indy surf street and a skate jam at Concrete Waves.

The Expo Village will be packed with exhibitors, skateboard demonstrations and a range of other events, while the Expo Hall hosts keynote talks, panel discussions and industry conversations.

The events are being organised by the team at DYSUJO, a Newquay-based house of brands which encompasses a range of outdoor and lifestyle businesses.
