SANTA will be travelling to the Newquay area by bus this Sunday to help spread joy and happiness during the festive season (December 7).

Father Christmas and his helpers will be travelling through communities on board the Santa Bus to raise funds for Hugs Plymouth, and LARF Cornwall, which supports young people living with cancer.

The Santa Bus will be in Mitchell at 5.45pm, Westborne Terrace in Fraddon at 6.05pm, St Frances Road in Indian Queens at 6.15pm, Trelawney Park in St Columb Major at 6.30pm, West Parks at St Columb Major at 6.35pm and Nansledan roundabout at 6.50pm.

The bus will be at the Oaks in Quintrell Downs at 6.55pm, The Goldings at 7.05pm, via Gannel and the Boating Lake and Trenance Road at 7.15pm, Mount Wise at 7.20pm, Manor Road bus station at 7.30pm, Great Western Hotel at 7.35pm, Porth Four Turns at 7.40pm and St Columb Minor at 7.45pm

The festive fundraiser is run by volunteers with the support of Plymouth Citybus and Go Cornwall Bus,

A spokesperson for the Santa Bus said: “We are so excited to launch our Santa Bus for the 5th year and are looking forward to seeing everyone on our travels.

“This year, we are raising money for Hugs children’s cancer charity and Larf Cornwall, so we would be very grateful for anything you can spare to help these very worthwhile.

“Please remember that the Santa Bus is run by volunteers who are giving up their time to bring festive cheer to Plymouth and Cornwall.”
