RESIDENTS are being invited to put themselves forward to become a councillor.
Newquay Town Council has three vacancies to fill, two in the Trenance ward and one in the Whipsiderry ward.
The vacancies will be filled by co-option at Newquay Town Council’s meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, June 4 at 7pm.
Anyone interested in applying for one of the roles needs to download a form from the council’s homepage at www.newquay.gov.uk
Return completed forms to the Town clerk ideally via email at [email protected]
Alternatively post or hand deliver the form to Newquay Town Council, Municipal Offices, Marcus Hill, Newquay TR7 1AF. The forms need to be received by Tuesday, May 27 at 9am.

A town council spokesperson said: “Applications received after this date will not be considered.
“No liability will be accepted for late arrival of postal entries. You can also hand deliver your form to the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre during opening times or post through the letter box outside of opening times before the deadline.
“Those who submit a valid application and meet the qualifying requirements will be invited to the Council meeting on Wednesday, June 4 to give a short verbal presentation near the end of the meeting on why they want to be a town councillor and what they can bring to the role, as well as answer any questions members may have for them.”
