The popular circus has found a new home to set up in Newquay this summer after fears were raised the attraction would not be coming to town.

Paulos Circus will be sited at Dairyland Farm Park after it had to pull out of its proposed site at Cubert Crossroads in High Lanes after residents and businesses raised concerns the area is an accident blackspot.

The circus had enlisted a health and safety advisor to create a traffic, noise and event plan who signed it off but following the complaints the unitary authority was looking into whether the site would be suitable to set up for the summer.

As the circus did not have that time available for an application to go before committee a new venue needed to be organised by Monday or they would have to cancel coming to Newquay due to the organisation that is involved but the new venue at Dairyland Farm Park has now been secured.
