POLICE investigating a collision in Redruth are appealing for witnesses and information.

Officers were called at around 9.50pm on Wednesday, March 25 to a report of a collision on St Day Road, involving a white Seat car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with seriously, potentially life-changing, injuries. A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and causing serious injury while driving without due care and attention.

Cornwall Air Ambulance, South Western Ambulance Service and specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator.

A full investigation of the scene took place, and officers are working to establish the exact cause of the collision. Witnesses and anyone who may have relevant dash cam footage are urged to report it via the Devon and Cornwall Police website or by calling 101 quoting log 733 25/03/26.
