PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.

TRERULEFOOT: Cornwall Council have confirmed details of an upcoming road closure which is intended to facilitate necessary works to improve the drainage on the road.

The road from the junction to the west of Berry Farm to the A38 junction to the north west of the filling station in Trerulefoot will be closed on July 7 and July 8.

The prohibition on traffic in the area will be in force between 7.30am and 5pm on the listed dates, with the closed stretch of road being between the property known as the Old Forge and the junction with the A38.

An alternative route will be signposted on site while pedestrian access to properties in the area will be maintained.

NEWQUAY: Glamis Road in Newquay is set a prohibition on all vehicles stopping in the area for approximately a month.

It is set to be enforced between July 22 and August 21 with Cornwall Council stating that it is necessary for works to take place to improve and repair footways in the area.

Affecting Glamis Road for its entire length, it will be enforced between 7.30am and 5pm.

During this time, any vehicle which contravenes the ban on stopping in the area may receive a penalty charge notice (PCN) from Cornwall Council’s parking enforcement team with vehicles also potentially being removed from the site.

Pedestrian access to properties in Glamis Road will be maintained and there is no exemption for blue badge holders.

WADEBRIDGE: The A389 between Tregonna Hill and St Issey Hill in St Issey, near Wadebridge is set for a road closure in July.

The closure will be on July 22 and July 23, with the closure in force overnight between 7pm and 7am and is necessary in order for cabling works to be undertaken.

The road affected is the A389 between Tregonna Hill and St Issey Hill from the junction with Ballaminers Lane to the junction with Mellingey Road.

An alternative route will be signed on site and there will be a maintained access to properties for pedestrians and vehicles.
