KEEN gardeners are being invited to roll up their sleeves to help make the Barrowfields more beautiful.

Cormac is staging a volunteer gardening group event on Thursday, March 12 between 10am and 1pm.

A Cormac spokesperson said: “This is an exciting opportunity to join our volunteer gardening group.

“This is a community event, and all are welcome. Those wishing to take part from the start can meet at the Barrowfields behind the middle bus stop.

“All equipment is provided, and volunteers do not need to commit to the entire session.

“Please dress in robust footwear and clothing suitable for gardening and the weather. Volunteers should bring any drinks and food that they may need for the session.”
