THOUSANDS of voices across Cornwall joined in song at 9pm on St Piran’s Day (Thursday, March 5), belting out The Song of The Western Men, also known as Trelawny - the adopted anthem of Cornwall.
The mass community singing event has been running annually since 2014, initiated by volunteers at the Cornwall Community Foundation.
Pubs, clubs and other venues across the Duchy pitched in to celebrate Cornish heritage with the song penned by eccentric Morwenstow vicar Robert Hawker. We raised our voices (and glasses!) with Truro Male Choir at The Rising Sun in Truro - enjoy our video!
