RESIDENTS are being invited to support fundraisers being held to benefit good causes.

The Friends of Newquay Hospital is staging a prize bingo at the Kilbirnie Hotel on Thursday, November 13 at 2pm. Andrea Hall said: “Come and join us and support a long-established local charity.

“Refreshments available, free parking. Entrance is £2, £1 a bingo book for six games plus free flyer. Enjoy an afternoon with friends.”

An evening with entertainer and comedian Johnny Cowling will be held in aid of the St Pirans Festival School concerts, which will be held at the Sandy Lodge Hotel in Hilgrove Road on Friday, January 23 at 8pm.

Andra Hall said: “The local school children learn Cornish songs at school and then the St Pirans committee organise a concert for them all to perform in front on their families.”
