AN independent funeral service has expanded after opening a new premises in Newquay.

Andrew Richards Funeral Services, which has been serving families across the area for many years, officially unveiled its latest location at Marcus Hill.

Mayor Drew Creek was on hand to officially open the new branch and members of the public were invited to explore the premises, meet the team and learn more about the range of services offered, including traditional funerals, personalised celebrations of life and pre-arranged funeral plans.

A Memory Tree was available for anyone who wishes to place a star in remembrance of a loved one

Mr Richard said: “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the opening and open day of our new funeral home.

“It truly meant so much to us to welcome everyone, share this important milestone, and spend time together in our new space. People’s kind words, support, and presence made the day very special.

“A special thank you to Drew Creek, mayor of Newquay, for joining us and supporting this occasion.

“We are grateful to be part of such a supportive community and look forward to continuing to serve the community with care, dignity, and compassion.”

Andrew Richards said the new premises represent a natural progression for the business.

He said: “The new Marcus Hill premises has been carefully designed to offer a peaceful and supportive setting, giving families a comfortable space in which to make arrangements and remember loved ones.

“The opening reflects the company’s ongoing investment in local communities and its desire to improve accessibility for families in and around Newquay.
