A FORMER bank in Newquay town centre is due to be converted into an activity space.

Cave Activity Bar in Central Square is expanding into the adjacent vacant building, which was formally Lloyds Bank.

The business is building on its reputation for interactive darts, shuffleboard and pool to expand its offering with axe throwing, interactive mini golf, a private karaoke room and an immersive VRcave Escape Room.

The expanded premises is earmarked to open by the end of February.

Luke Holmes, the owner of Cave Activity Bar, said: “We are really happy to have been given the opportunity to occupy the old bank.

“We have been looking for more space for a while to add more social immersive games into our already popular business.

“With the acquisition of the premises next door at 10 Central Square we feel we now have something for everyone, and more.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch these four new activities.

“Our goal has always been to bring something different to Newquay, and with axe throwing, interactive mini golf, karaoke and a VR Escape Room, there’s even more choice for groups, celebrations and nights out.

“We have been so grateful for all the local support over the last two years, and we can’t wait to welcome people as we open the next chapter of Cave Activity Bar later this month.”
