THOUSANDS of households and businesses experienced a power cut on Thursday morning.
National Grid stated there were 2,089 properties off supply at 10.54 pm.
The utility company says it is working to get the electricity “back on track” following a fault in the underground power cables in the area.
National Grid stated there were 1,424 properties off supply at 12.10pm.
A spokesperson said: "We know you're without power. We were alerted at 10.51am this morning and our engineers are working to get your electricity back on as quickly as possible. We're sorry for the disruption.
“We give you our best estimate for when your power will be back on, based on what we know at the time.
“Times might change if we face unexpected challenges getting to the fault. These times show when the last person in the area will have power back - most of you will be reconnected before this.
“The estimated restoration time is 3.30pm this afternoon.”
