HIP-HOP legend KRS1 put on a masterclass performance for his Cornish fans in Falmouth.

The ‘Teacha’ from New York City appeared at Princess Pavillions as part of his My Philosophy European Tour on Tuesday, September 15. The emcee delivered iconic Boogie Down Productions (BDP) and solo anthems throughout the show including Sound of da Police, My Philosophy and South Bronx.

KRS1 dropped improvised freestyles in between tracks on hip-hop culture, his rejection of modern mainstream gimmicks, social justice and self-empowerment.

His live set was a family affair, with his son DJ KPrymeTheJaeger backing him up on the turntables. It was great to see a smile on KRS1’s face as he clearly enjoyed performing to his fans as he jumped from side to side throughout to engage the whole audience.
