THE former Pizza Hut on the A390 at Threemilestone is to become a Tesco Express.

Tesco Stores Limited has applied to Cornwall Council for a license to sell alcohol and late-night refreshments on the site at Maiden Green Farm, opposite Truro and Penwith College.

In October 2025, Pizza Hut announced the closure of 68 restaurants nationwide and a further 11 delivery sites after operating company DC London Pic entered administration. More than 1,200 staff members were made redundant.

Representations can be made regarding an alcohol license application if relating to one or more of four licensing objectives: prevention of crime and disorder; prevention of public nuisance; public safety, and protection of children from harm.

The deadline for representations in this case is Wednesday, March 25.
