A BIRDWATCHING trip to a Newquay headland ‘terned’ out perfectly.

Fifteen nature and wildlife enthusiasts attended the Connect with Nature’s group visited Towan Headland.

They spotted 18 species of bird, which included Gannet and Oystercatchers.

Rob Nicholls was the fieldtrip leader for the trip, which was organised by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, Founder and Chair of Connect with Nature, RSPB Kernow Group Leader, and Publicity Officer of Cornwall Birds.

Rowena Castillo-Nicholls said: “Everyone had a great time. The weather was lovely and sunny with a soft breeze.

“The event ended with an enjoyable chat over coffee, tea, and biscuits.”
