AN artist was certainly on point with her design for a forthcoming arts festival in Newquay.
Sarah Ravening’s picture of a cactus won a competition to find an image for this year’s Nansledan Arts Festival between June 13 and 20, which has a fiesta theme.
Liz Hutchinson from the festival said: “Local artist Sarah Ravening was chosen as the winner with her colourful image of a cactus, which it was felt captured our theme perfectly.
“Sarah is a self-taught artist of 25 years. She started in oils and now works in acrylics. Her artwork will be on display in the arts festival art trail in June.
“Our festival will feature old favourites and exciting new ventures, including a circus performance and a gig by the international band Trackdogs.”
