SUN glare is being blamed for two road traffic collisions that occurred in Newquay on Wednesday morning (March18).

A three-vehicle collision took place at Pentire Road at 7.20am, which was followed by a second collision a short distance away involving a car and motorcycle.

There were reportedly no casualties following the accidents.

Police attended the scene. A police spokesperson said: “We were called at following two collisions on Pentire Road.

“Nobody was injured, and the road is now clear.”

A resident added: “There was pile up on the way out of Pentire. Everyone was ok.

“There was plenty of debris on the road and the police were called.

“The sun is to blame as it completely blinded the drivers. I think this happened few years ago too.”
