Driving Range Celebration Day – Friday, July 4

WE WERE delighted to welcome the mayor of St Austell, Cllr Colin Hamilton, to St Austell Golf Club to help us mark a fantastic milestone on our driving range.

Since installing Toptracer technology in December 2024, the range has seen phenomenal usage — so much so that we are now approaching a remarkable one-million golf balls hit!

To commemorate this achievement, the Mayor was invited to ceremonially strike the symbolic 1,000,000th ball, dressed in full ceremonial attire — no mean feat!

The occasion was proudly witnessed by club manager George Hannah, club professional Tony Pitts, head greenkeeper Matt Lock andthe captains of each section, making it a truly memorable moment in the club’s history.

We’re incredibly proud of how popular the range has become and are already looking forward to hitting the next million!
