LADIES’ SECTION

TUESDAY, October 7 saw the ladies compete in either an 18-hole Medal or a 9-hole Stableford.

The winner of the Medal was Lorna Parfitt with nett 72. Fiona Pocklington was second with nett 75, on countback from Sandra Lloyd.

The nine-hole event was won by Rose Howe with a splendid 21 points; four points clear of second-placed Eileen Phipps. Anne Poole was third on 16.

THE fourth race of the 2025/26 Cornish Multi-Terrain Race Series – the Tywarnhayle 10K – was held on Sunday, October 12 with 219 runners competing.

Jamie Stephenson took victory by 90 seconds from Samuel Hammond who was home in 42:50.

Bude RATs’ Morgan Craig was third in 44:10.

Truro Running Club, who organised the race, saw member Lucy Williams finish as the fastest lady.

She was 24th in 51:54, nearly 90 seconds ahead of Ellie Mason (53:22) from Mount Hawke Mules.

Sophie Auster was third lady over the line in 53:46.
