VITAL funds are being raised to help repair St Columb Minor Church.

A working group is staging a Battle of Britain anniversary evening at the Farmers Arms on Saturday, September 14 at 7pm.

The fundraiser will include forties music, dancing, a singer as well as a raffle. Forties dress is optional at the event.

Phillipa Mitchell said: “St Columb Minor Church is trying to raise money for several repairs needed, including the roof leaking.  The church desperately needs money to keep it in good repair.”

Entrance is a donation of £3.
