BRAA-VE women glammed up in their finest attire to enjoy a dip in Newquay and see out the year in style.

Around 50 women and a few men wore their finest frocks to take part in the annual Ballgowns on the Beach at Towan Beach on New Year’s Eve. The popular event basked in sunshine and clam sea conditions.
The first Ballgowns on the Beach was staged during the Covid pandemic to enjoy a bit of “frivolity” and “fun” as people could not see out the year in style due to the lockdown.
