TRURO is set for two months of city-centre roadworks throughout September and October.

A traffic management sign in Boscawen Street confirms that Cormac are planning Highway Improvement Works from Monday, September 7 to Friday, November 6. The closure is required to lift, clean and reset granite cobbles.

These works will require 24-hour street closures, including at weekends, in Lower Lemon Street between Back Quay and Boscawen Street; Boscawen Street, between Lower Lemon Street and Princes Street; and the full length of Princes Street.

These closures have been obtained under Cornwall Council’s Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026. Cormac will signpost an alternative route, maintain pedestrian access to all properties and can be contacted for all queries and concerns on 0300 1234 222.
