A TENNIS club in Newquay has added a second padel court to its facilities to meet demand for court space.
Game4Padel has installed the padel court at Heron Tennis Centre following the rise in popularity of the sport.

A spokesperson said: “Padel is the world’s fastest growing sport, and it has proved extremely popular at Heron where at times particularly during the summer months.
“We have 100 per cent occupancy all throughout the week.
“The new court will mean more access for players and because anyone can play as people don’t have to be a member at Heron.
“We are expecting it to be popular with tourists visiting Newquay as well.
“Padel is now played in over 130 countries around the world – forecasters predict it will become an Olympic sport by 2032.
“David and Cruz Beckham, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Andy Murray, Eva Longoria, Elle MacPherson and Stormzy are some of the famous names that have taken up the sport in recent years.”
