Indian Queens Primary School raised £3,600 at the event, which was held to generate money toward future projects that will directly benefit pupils.

Children as young as four ran a specially designed course while volunteers doused them in water and vibrant coloured powder with families cheering them on.

Organised by the Friends of the School, pupils collected individual sponsorships, contributing to the total raised. The event was made possible through the generous support of local sponsors, Rang Tans Afterschool Club, McKnight Electrical, Lloyd Electrical, Eliquo Hydrok and Food Safety Consultany (Cornwall) Ltd.

School staff and organisers say that the event will definitely be back in the future.
