A WARNING has been issued after the sand dunes at Crantock became unstable during the recent large tides and swells.
Crantock Surf Life Saving Club says people should keep a safe distance as there is a significant risk of sand collapse due to the erosion.
The lifesaving organisation is particularly calling on people to keep children and dogs away from the fragile dunes.
A spokesperson for Crantock Surf Life Saving Club said: “Following the recent large tides and large swell, the dunes are particularly unstable. Please stay at a safe distance.
“Please keep a safe distance from the edges and base and keep children and dogs well away.
“Call the Coastguard 999 in an emergency.”
