OUT of the Woods Play and Creative Arts Therapy CIC have announced the launch of the £1 Challenge, a community-driven fundraising initiative set to run from July 1 to 13, in celebration of founder Kerra Hancock’s birthday.
In the spirit of giving, Kerra is inviting the public to take part in this simple yet powerful challenge to donate £1 to Out of the Woods CIC, then ask 13 friends to do the same - each of whom will then ask 13 more.
All proceeds will support Out of the Woods CIC, a non-profit organisation delivering play and creative arts therapy for children and young people across Cornwall who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) - including physical or emotional abuse, sexual abuse, exposure to domestic violence, or the loss or separation of a parent.
Kerra, founder of Out of the Woods, said: “We believe that with community support, even the smallest contribution can lead to extraordinary change. The £1 Challenge is not just a birthday celebration—it’s a movement to bring healing and hope to children across Cornwall.”
