A Newquay woman has received an array of mouthwatering goodies after she told staff what she thought of them.

Sharon Leigh Stewart’s name was among those entered into a prize draw after completing a customer feedback form at the Newquay Specsavers in Bank Street.

She could not believe her luck when her name was drawn, which saw her win a hamper full of goodies from various Newquay businesses.

Sharon said: “This was a lovely surprise. Being a small business owner myself, I understand the importance of sharing constructive feedback in order to help businesses thrive.

“I honestly didn't expect that I would win this delightful hamper, which I am so happy about. I’m really glad that my feedback is helping the store and its staff. It’s great that they want to provide the best service they can for the people of Newquay.”

The Newquay high street businesses that contributed to the hamper’s contents included Cornish Oven, Cornish Cream, Shipton & Co, Hunters, Costa and Cornish Makers.

Specsavers Newquay said it is committed to providing the best possible service, so it encourages customers to give feedback at every opportunity.

Michael Honey, the retail director at the Bank Street store, said: “We’re delighted to present Sharon with this hamper. Her feedback, like that of all our customers, is invaluable to us and we’re very grateful for it.

“We recognise the importance of impeccable customer care and service, which is why we always strive for feedback. It enables us to continually improve and learn.

“As the store’s new retail director, I want to understand our customers' views. The great, the good, the bad and the ugly. And this prize draw is a fun way to not only connect with our customers but to also get real honest feedback.

“The hamper contained more than £130 worth of goods, including some that were donated for free by high street businesses, which is amazing.

“So, as well as getting important feedback from people, this has been about local businesses coming together for local people.”
