POLICE are appealing for help to locate a man from the Newquay area who has not been seen since he went on a fishing trip.

Gregory, aged 65, was last seen when he left home to go fishing at Porth Beach on Tuesday, September 16, at around 8am. He was travelling on foot.

He is described as a white male, who speaks Russian. He is around 6ft 1ins tall and with short grey hair. He may be wearing a red zipped up hoody, jeans and carrying a fishing rod as well as a pink and brown backpack.

Searches have been ongoing overnight in the Newquay area including Porth and Trevelgue Headland supported by Coastguard.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for the public’s help to locate a 65-year-old man who is missing from the Newquay area.”
