A MAN riding an electric bike sustained serious injuries in a road traffic collision in Newquay on Friday (December 19).
The man in his twenties was injured following the collision, which involved a white Volkswagen Golf and an electric bike on Porth Way, at the junction with Well Way at around 6.30pm.
Local road closures were put in place while officers conducted an examination of the scene. The road was reopened at around 10.30pm.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision in Newquay.
“Officers were called to reports of a collision on Porth Way, at the junction with Well Way, in Newquay.
“The rider of the bike, a man in his twenties from the Newquay area, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His next of kin have been informed.”
