PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.

Car park charge changes

PERRANZABULOE Parish Council has confirmed it wishes to change how much it charges for parking at its Droskyn Car park facility.

At present, the charges in the car park are £2 for up to one hour, £4 for up to two hours, £8 for over two hours and £42 a week in the summer.

The proposed charging regime would see a sharp increase in the cost of parking at the facility, in addition the abolition of the one hour charge with a minimum of two hours parking available to buy.

The public notice states: “Notice is hereby given that on March 13, 2026, Perranzabuloe Parish Council made the above Order pursuant to the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

“The Order revokes and replaces the Perranzabuloe Parish (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2026 and makes the following amendments. Change to charges at Droskyn Car Park.

“Droskyn Car Park: Up to 2 hours - £4.50, Up to 4 hours - £7, Up to 24 hours - £12, Weekly - £50, 1700 – 1000, Annual Permit - £25, 24hrs Annual Permit - £400.

“The Order will come into effect on May 1 2026. The Order may be viewed at www.perranzabuloe-pc.gov.uk or by application to the Parish Clerk: clerk@perranzabuloe-pc. gov.uk”

Waiting restrictions

Cornwall Council has confirmed that it proposes to make an order to regulate traffic in Barncoose, Redruth.

It is part of a wider scheme of works to introduce yellow lines and waiting restrictions between Dudnance Way and Wilson Way in Pool.

In the public notice, Cornwall Council added that: “The effect is to introduce a maintenance bay at the location on Wilson Way in Redruth.

“It is intended that this additional enhancement will complement the other proposed changes nearby that were consulted in July 2025.
