Licence for festival application
AN application seeking a premises licence to permit activities associated with a festival has been submitted to Cornwall Council.
Poppy Carloss has given notice that she has applied to Cornwall Council seeking the granting of a premises licence certificate in respect of Par Market Field, Par, PL25 3RP.
She is seeking its approval for the granting of a premises licence to permit the provision of live music, recorded music and the supply of alcohol on the premises.
The event will operate as an outdoor food and music festival with a maximum capacity of 3,000 people at any one time.
In the submission for the public notice, she added that the licensable activities would take place annually over the May Bank Holiday weekend between 10am and 10pm.

Goods vehicle application
A SCRAP metal merchant is seeking to use a premises in St Columb Major as an operating centre for one goods vehicle.
Jack Gill, trading as JRG Scrap Metals Ltd of Lambart Ruthvose, St Columb Major, TR9 6HT is applying to the Traffic Commissioner for the granting of a licence at the same trading address.
A goods vehicle operator's licence (often called an 'O' licence) is a legal requirement in the UK for businesses using trucks, lorries, or vans over 3.5 tonnes (3,500kg) gross plated weight—or over 1,525kg unladen.
It authorises specific sites as operating centres, ensuring vehicles do not disturb local residents, have safe access, and are properly maintained.
Representations must be made to the Traffic Commissioner within 21 days of April 8, with a copy of the representation also sent to the applicant.
