FAMILIES had a ‘cracking time’ at the annual Easter egg hunt held in Newquay.
Dozens of youngsters took part in the search for hidden eggs at the event held at Towan Beach, which was organised by Newquay Lions Club.

Newquay Sainsbury’s generously provided Easter eggs for all the children that took part.
A spokesperson for Newquay Lions said: “Out Easter egg hunt was a great success.
“It was warmly supported by families from across the community. The event was very well attended, with children and parents enjoying a bright, cheerful morning of searching for hidden eggs around the grounds.
“It took eager egg‑hunters almost two hours to track down every last egg, with plenty of excitement, teamwork, and happy faces along the way.
“In total, 200 Easter eggs were given away, making it one of the club’s most popular Easter events to date.
“Newquay Lions extends its sincere thanks to Sainsbury’s, who generously provided the prize eggs for the event. Their continued support helps the club deliver fun, inclusive activities for local families each year.”
Barb May, the president of Newquay Lions Club, added: “We were thrilled to see so many families join us for this year’s Easter Egg Hunt.
“The atmosphere was wonderful, and it was lovely to watch children enjoying the challenge and celebrating together.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Sainsbury’s for their generous donation of prize eggs, and to everyone who came along to support the event. Community spirit is at the heart of everything we do, and today truly reflected that.
“Newquay Lions is a volunteer‑led organisation dedicated to supporting the local community through fundraising, events, and hands‑on service.
“The club works year‑round to assist individuals, families, and local causes, while bringing people together through inclusive community activities.”
