BUMPER crowds enjoyed the Stithians Show today [Monday, July 14]. The much-loved celebration of Cornish rural life, farming, food and culture was blessed with the perfect weather in its 191st year.
The show staged keenly contested competitions, with opportunities to get up close and learn more about a range of animals; and a wide range of trade stands, including local food and drink producers, crafters and artists.
Will Keating, True Foxes, Treverva Male Choir and Andy Marshall provided musical entertainment across two stages, and displays of countryside skills and miniature steam vehicles captivated visitors in the demonstration ring, with informative talks from garden experts in the horticulture section.
Stithians Agricultural Association general secretary Claire Watters said: “We are so thankful to everyone who visited, competed, traded and supported the show this year, and to the countless volunteers who make it all happen.”
The show will return on Monday, July 13, 2026.
