A CHARITY is inviting people to learn about the secrets of how a Victorian lady dressed.
The Friends of Newquay Hospital is staging a talk titled The Secrets of a Victorian Time Traveller at the Kilbirnie Hotel on Wednesday, May 21 between 10am and 12pm.
A spokesperson said: “Come and enjoy the dressing of a Victorian lady. A practical demonstration of impractical clothing.”
Tickets are £5 and includes refreshments.
A bingo event is being held at the Kilbirnie Hotel in aid of Newquay Male Voice Choir on Wednesday, May 14 between 2pm and 4pm.
Crantock Methodist Church is staging an annual gift day on Saturday, May 17 from 10.30pm and 12pm. Coffee, cake, a quiz and a raffle will be organised.
The church will be staging a 153rd anniversary service led by Reverend Aubin De Gruchy, the lead chaplain to Methodist Schools, on Sunday, May 18 at 10am.
