LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photograph takes us to a now extinct sight in Cornwall.

Barrie says of this photograph: "Concorde made an emergency landing first in 1978. This photo I took in 1987 on an open day when it landed and took off as St Mawgan, one of the longest runways in the British Isles. The most amazing thing was watching the nose rise and lower.”
