Una St Ives at Carbis Bay has unveiled the latest phase in its multi-million-pound development, with the launch of a year-round heated lido swimming pool.

The outdoor pool is 20-metres long and is heated to 25 degree and include underwater lighting for twilight and night-time swims. There is also be a kids’ pool.

It complements the existing indoor 15-metre swimming pool, children’s pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room, which are all accessible from the new outdoor facility.

James Hemming, resort director at Una St Ives said: “This is the exciting next step in the £50m+ development of Una St Ives, which will see the resort become a flagship for hospitality in Cornwall.

“The lido development presents a perfect opportunity to add to our existing team of amazing staff and further enhance our award-winning wellness facilities enjoyed by our local membership base and spa visitors.”

Una St Ives is currently home to 29 lodges, Una Kitchen, Una Spa and leisure facilities, but there are plans to develop the resort even more. 

A new pool-side dining space with cabanas and a retractable roof, and an outdoor barbecue kitchen serving a street food-inspired menu will be open in time for Easter 2023. Furthermore, a collection of high-end, two, three and four-bedroom villas with private hot tubs will be completed for summer 2023.

There are also plans for a total of 93 holiday villas, a stunning 55 apartment hotel, and a central Piazza with a bar, restaurant, and further leisure facilities.
