NATURE enthusiasts spotted an abundance of wildlife during an outing to a Newquay headland.
The Connect with Nature’s group visited Towan Headland where they saw 22 species of bird, eight species of butterfly and one moth.

Birds spotted included five Skylark, three Turnstone, three Stonechat, four Meadow Pipit and two Black Redstart.

Butterflies Clouded Yellow, Painted Lady, Small Copper, Orange Tip, Green-veined White, Large White, Small White, Common Blue as well as a Hummingbird Hawk Moth.

Rob Nicholls was the field trip leader for the trip, which was organised by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, founder and chair of Connect with Nature.
She said: “Nine nature and wildlife enthusiasts had a great time on the trip.
“The weather was gorgeous. So sunny and warm.”
