POP culture fans descended on Truro for an extravaganza of comics, movies and gaming on Saturday.

Hundreds of pople, including many in costume, attended Truro Comic Con at the Ben Ainslie Sports Centre and Truro School, which was organised by UK Comic Con and Gaming Festivals.

They were treated to guest appearances from John Simpkin, who played the role of Klaatu in Return of the Jedi, Greg Austin, who appeared in Doctor Who spin-off TV series Class and Ross Mullan who played a White Walker in the Game of Thrones.

There were various highlights including Player Ready VR, Bowser appearances, Iron Man displays, Monsters Inc displays, Shield car, cosplay zone, Star Wars backdrops, TMNT Sewer display, Minecraft prop display, kids geeky crafts area and comic drawing activities.

There was also an appearance from Droid builders UK, Cornish Daleks, Ninja Turtle van, Beetlejuice prop area, Game of Thrones props and Wednesday themed props.
